Reference: May 4, 2008 Children’s Day Parking Restrictions

Chief Michael J. Magnant of the Portsmouth Police Department is invoking his ‘Emergency Powers’ and orders that NO PARKING will be permitted on the following Portsmouth streets on Sunday, May 4th, 2008 from 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM due to the annual Children’s Day events:

• Pleasant Street between State Street and Market Square.
  
• Church Street.
  
• Parking lot at the corner of Market and Hanover Streets.
  
• Market Street from Market Square to the Isles of Shoals Steamship Company (North side).

Vehicles still parked at these locations on May 4th at 11:00 AM will be towed at the owner’s expense. The parking garage will have a flat rate of $3 between the hours of 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM that day.
