9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

Please join members of the Portsmouth Police and Fire Departments at 9:46 am for an annual September 11th Remembrance Ceremony. This event will take place in the upper parking lot in front of City Hall and the police department at the flag poles. Visitors are encouraged to bring a flower to lay at the 9/11 steel beam artifact that is located in between the flag poles. 

This event will happen rain or shine as we honor the many lives lost and those lives that were impacted by the tragedy that unfolded on September 11th, 2001. 

Please park in the lower parking lot at City Hall or across the street in the parking lot at the playground/tennis courts, as the upper lot will be barricaded off for the duration of the ceremony. The ceremony is anticipated to last roughly 30-45 minutes.
