 Robbery at Store 24 Date of Release: April 11, 2006 The Portsmouth Police Department is currently investigating a robbery that occurred at Store 24 today at 1:40am. The suspect entered the business, bound the clerk and took an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect then left the scene and was last seen running up Islington Street toward downtown. The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 5 foot 8 inches tall wearing dark clothing which included a dark colored sweatshirt. No weapon was shown. A Portsmouth police K9 was called to the scene for a track, which led through adjoining neighborhoods with no success. Portsmouth police detectives were called to the scene for evidence processing.
