The PPD just went on-line with IMC (Grafton, MA) on 12/1/99. This year-long project included the conversion of 8 years of data from an AS/400 DB2 system. In conjunction with the coversion to IMC, the PPD also rolled out laptops in seven marked cruisers via Cerulean's PacketCluster software. The hardware for this project consists of Panasonic CF-25s. In addition, the PPD was one of the state-selected sites for an AFIS (Automated Fingerprint Identification System) unit and we recently recieved a grant for a Geographic Information System (GIS) which has yet to be deployed.
