City Options for Cooling in Expected High Heat

PORTSMOUTH - With temperatures expected to climb above 90 degrees today (Wednesday, June 20) and tomorrow, the City reminds residents that the Library, Spinnaker Point Adult Recreation Center and Peirce Island Outdoor Pool offer opportunities to cool down.

The air-conditioned Library is open from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday. Spinnaker Point also has air conditioning and is open weekdays from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m.

The Peirce Island Outdoor Pool is open for free swim from 1 p.m. until 7:15 p.m. today, as well, due to the anticipated high temperatures. For more information about the Outdoor Pool, visit www.cityofportsmouth.com/recreation/outdoor.htm.
