Hurricane Season - Are You Prepared?

Did you know that, on average, approximately 90% of all hurricanes and 95% of major hurricanes in the Atlantic occur after August 1? NOAA recently released their annual mid-season update through the National Weather Service's Climate Prediction Center advising the atmospheric and oceanic conditions still favor an above-normal 2022 Atlantic hurricane season.
As we enter the peak months of hurricane season, the Health Department would like to remind everyone that the time is now to revisit your emergency preparedness plans to protect yourself and your family and be ready for extreme weather events.
