Practice safe food handling and preparation methods
The Health Department and the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension are hosting a free food safety seminar on Tuesday, March 18 from 10am-12pm in the Council Chambers at Portsmouth City Hall.
Registration begins at 9:30am. Attendees who successfully pass a 20-question multiple choice test at the end will receive a Food Handler's card.
Special accommodations for the test can be provided if required so if you have any special language, sight or other considerations, this should not discourage you from taking advantage of this informative and entertaining class. You do not need to be affiliated with a Portsmouth restaurant to attend, however, all food service workers who have not attended in the past are encouraged to participate. To register please contact Terry Poulin, at the City of Portsmouth, (603) 610-7232 or email at Terry@cityofportsmouth.com .
This program is appropriate for all food service professionals, from those who handle pre-packaged foods, mobile operations, grocery or full-scale specialty restaurants. Please park at South Playground parking lot across from City Hall.
