City releases FY10 Annual Report
PORTSMOUTH – The City of Portsmouth has released its Fiscal Year 2010 Annual Report and made it available at by clicking here.
Copies of the Annual Report also may be viewed at the Public Library and the City Clerk’s Office.
“The Annual Report offers a detailed view of what each City department accomplished in FY10 between July 1, 2009, and June 30, 2010,” the City Manager said. “We hope our citizens will take time to review this important document that provides insights into how their municipal government operates and the services it provides.”
This is the sixth Annual Report published since the City Manager reinstated the practice of compiling the information in an Annual Report format. Prior to the Fiscal Year 2005 Annual Report, nearly two decades had passed since the last City of Portsmouth Annual Report. However, the City had continued to produce its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) following the end of each fiscal year and received a number of “Certificates of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting” from the Government Finance Officers Association. CAFR reports are on the Finance Department’s Web page.
