Elementary Principal

Requirements:	New Hampshire Principal Certification or eligible for certification Minimum 5 years classroom experience required Minimum Master’s Degree required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to lead a highly qualified staff Proven success in curriculum development and student assessment and public relations Possess a vision for student success Knowledge of Literacy Across the Content Areas Familiar with Portsmouth School District and district wide initiatives of personalized education with a focus on literacy across the content areas within a framework of curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional development and community Experience with school construction and budget development Knowledge of effective intervention strategies.
Responsibilities:	Actively promote and support literacy across the content areas Communicate effectively with parents and community groups Collaborate effectively with other administrators as part of a strong District Administrative Council Actively promote and support a collaborative team culture with a focus on high standards for student learning and a personalized education for all students Support professional development focused on school and district goals and effective teacher evaluation.
Salary:	Per Administrator Agreement
