Student Services Director

Requirements:	New Hampshire certification or eligible for certification as a Special Education Administrator Experience as Special Education Teacher or Administrator Minimum Master’s Degree required  In-depth knowledge of Special Education Federal/State Rules, Laws and Regulations Strong leadership and excellent communication skills Possess a vision for Student Services district-wide Community oriented Understanding of technology Proven success in curriculum, student assessment, budget development and project management Knowledge of Literacy Across the Content Areas Familiar with Portsmouth School District and district wide initiatives of personalized education with a focus on literacy across the content areas within a framework of curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional development and community Experience as an administrator, grant-writing, management skills, good organizational skills, program development, budgets, public relations and community involvement Knowledge of laws pertaining to 504, Title IX, and Special Education transition planning.
Responsibilities:	Provide leadership to the Special Education department and staff, but not limited to: Special Education Psychology services OT/PT services ESL Nurses, guidance, mental health Responsible to Superintendent of Schools
