Reference: Robbery at The Holiday Inn Motel
Date of Release: November 9, 2005
On November 8, 2005 at approximately 11:40 PM, the Portsmouth Police received a phone call from the night clerk at the Holiday Inn reporting that she had just been robbed. A lone male entered the desk area demanding money. He was described as a white male wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and a ski mask. Although a weapon was not displayed, one was threatened to be held.
The suspect left after taking an undetermined amount of money. Police K-9 Viktor was used for a search of the area. The suspect has not been located at this time. There were no injuries to the clerk.
The incident is currently under investigation and the Portsmouth Police Dept. is requesting that anyone having any information concerning this incident or was in the area at the time to call the Portsmouth Police Detective Division at 436-2511 or Crimestoppers at 431-1199.
