On Thursday, September 4th, 2008, the following individual was arrested by the Portsmouth Police Department as a result of an arrest warrant:

Nashua, N.H.

Joseph Stanley was arrested for:

Second Degree Assault (Felony),
Criminal Mischief (Misdemeanor).

This arrest is the result of an investigation that began on June 8th, 2008, when it is alleged that Mr. Stanley assaulted a victim in a Portsmouth parking lot by fracturing the victim’s nose by striking the victim with his knee. It is alleged that Mr. Stanley also threw the victim up against a vehicle, causing damage to the vehicle. One more arrest is anticipated in this case.

Mr. Stanley was processed at the Portsmouth Police Department and he is currently being held on $300 cash and $3,000 personal recognizance bail. He is scheduled for a September 23rd, 2008 probable cause hearing in Portsmouth District Court.
