On Wednesday February 25, 2009, the Portsmouth Police responded to 6 Weald Road in the Gosling Meadows for the report of a domestic disturbance. In the course of the disturbance, the female resident fled with her two children to a neighboring residence. A male, later identified as:
Daniel Boland
78 Canton Street
Lowell, MA
DOB: 02/16/1978
Remained at the residence, and when approached by the investigating officers, threatened the officers with a knife. Mr. Boland was armed with several kitchen knives, and threatened to throw them at the officers if they did not leave the area.
Based on these circumstances, the Seacoast Emergency Response Team was activated. After Boland refused to negotiate, the team utilized chemical munitions to force Boland out of the residence, and when he came out wielding knives, he was subdued by the use of a non-lethal weapon.
Boland received minor injuries from the incident and was transported to the Portsmouth Hospital by ambulance.

- Criminal Trespass
- Criminal Mischief (Felony)
