On October 27, 2009 the Portsmouth Police Commission voted unanimously to promote Master Patrol Officer Jon Aubin to the rank of Portsmouth Police Sergeant.
Sgt. Aubin has been a Portsmouth Police Officer for ten years and has been in law enforcement for over fourteen years. Sgt. Aubin has been assigned to the Patrol Division for his tenure at the Portsmouth Police Dept., is a former member of the Seacoast Emergency Response Team. He is one the Department's field training officers and an instructor in use of force.
Sgt. Aubin is a former child safety seat technician and has assisted several members of the community with how to properly install child safety seats as well as educating them about the safety of their children in vehicles.
Sgt. Aubin is a graduate from the University of New Hampshire with a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Justice Studies. He has attended numerous law enforcement related training classes in the course of his career.
Sgt. Aubin was raised in the Seacoast area and currently resides in Dover, N.H. with his wife and their three children. He is active in the Dover community as a coach in youth sports as well as a member of the Garrison Elementary School P.T.A.
Deputy Chief DuBois has assigned Sgt. Aubin to serve in the Patrol Division. Sgt. Aubin states “I am very happy to have this position. I am ready to take on this leadership role and bring my experience and training to better the Portsmouth community.”
