On Tuesday, June 24th, 2008 at 10:00 AM, the following individual turned himself in to the Portsmouth Police Department as a result of an arrest warrant:
Alan B. Hall
Date of birth 04/15/81
100 Ledgewood Drive, Apt. 4
Portsmouth, N.H.
Mr. Hall was arrested for:
Three counts of Criminal Mischief (vandalism), one class B Felony, two class A Misdemeanors.
This arrest is the result of an investigation into graffiti that was spray painted on buildings located on Lafayette Road and Pleasant Streets in Portsmouth, as well as the Portsmouth High School during April and May of this year. In one case, the damage cost over $1,000 to remove, hence the felony charge. It is anticipated that more charges of a similar nature will be filed against Mr. Hall as this investigation continues.
Mr. Hall was processed at the Portsmouth Police Department and released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail for a July 21st, 2008 at 8:30 AM arraignment date at Portsmouth District Court.
The public is reminded that graffiti is an act of vandalism, and as such, we urge the public to report these crimes to the police department so that they can be properly documented and investigated.
