On Monday, March 17th, 2007 at 5:17 p.m., Portsmouth Police were called to the Orchard Park office complex, 875 Greenland, Rd., Portsmouth for a reported robbery and theft of a motor vehicle. The caller reported to police that a large male had approached her while she was loading packages into her vehicle, in the parking lot at Orchard Park. The male repeatedly ordered her to give him the keys to her car, she complied and he raced away from the area in her vehicle, a 2001 Jeep Cherokee (black).

Police received further calls from the public about this large male and the stolen jeep. An intensive search of the area was conducted by Portsmouth Police officers. The subject abandoned the stolen jeep in the area of the US Route 1 By-Pass and Greenleaf Ave. and was arrested shortly thereafter in the area of Greenleaf Woods Dr. & Lafayette Rd.

The subject arrested has been identified as:

Brian GRIER, (DOB 12/20/1984)
5 Ivory Rd.,
Bloomfield, CT

GRIER is charged with:

Robbery
Theft
Reckless Conduct

GRIER is being held pending arraignment in the Portsmouth District Court, Tuesday March 18th, 2008 @ 08:30 A.M.
