On Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at noon, the Portsmouth Police Department arrested the following individual:
Eric D. Livers
Date of birth 11/24/87
1826 East E Street
Torrington, Wyoming
Mr. Livers was arrested for the following:
Fugitive from Justice
False Report to Law Enforcement
Felon in Possession of a Weapon
Possession of a Controlled Drug (marijuana).
Mr. Livers had escaped from police custody in Cheyenne, Wyoming along with Matthew Ryan Boyer. Wyoming authorities had notified the Portsmouth Police Department yesterday that both men may be in the seacoast area. Working in collaboration with the Exeter Police Department, Boyer was captured earlier today in Exeter.
After an exhaustive effort by patrol officers and detectives, Mr. Livers was captured at noon today by the Portsmouth Police Department on Hanover Street in downtown Portsmouth. During the arrest, Livers gave a false name, and was found to have a knife and marijuana in his possession. He is a convicted felon.
Mr. Livers is being held on no bail for the Fugitive of Justice charge, and $20,000 cash for the remainder of the charges. He is scheduled for a March 4th, 2008 probable cause hearing at Portsmouth District Court if Wyoming authorities have not taken custody of him by that time.
